Introduction To Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Workshop
Facilitated by Isabel Bristowe
An introductory workshop for therapists who would like to know more about Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and how this empirically validated approach is used to help couples, families and individuals with their relationships. EFT is a collaborative and structured approach with a change process that facilitates movement from distress to recovery by transforming negative cycles of interaction into safe emotional connection between intimate partners and family members.
Based on the science of emotions and attachment theory as well as humanistic and systemic theories, EFT has a high success rate in achieving secure, resilient relationships in couples and within families, and in helping individuals to flexibly manage their emotional experience.
This workshop offers an introduction to the theory including watching tapes of couples work and the opportunity for experiential role-play and discussions.
